We met online back in April 2003, she was from Perth, Australia and I was from San Francisco, California. We began chatting as friends, as neither of us was looking for a long distance relationship. A few months into our conversations Bettina came to the States for a holiday and to meet me. We quickly fell for each other and realised we had something special between us. In June 2004 on Bettina’s second visit to the US we flew down to Cancun for a holiday and I proposed to her at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the Caribbean ocean. We went back and forth between the US and Australia for a year and a half before I moved to Australia in February 2005. I married the love of my life on 19 March, 2005 and am so happy that Match.com provided us with the opportunity to meet.
